Real Ales/Bitters

Tribute – 4.2% abv – Brewed in Cornwall.

Tribute is a popular favourite with locals and visitors alike to Cornwall, as well as being a much sought after guest ale throughout the rest of the UK. It is brewed using traditional Cornish ingredients wherever possible, including specially grown Cornish Gold Malt. It can be enjoyed on its own or as an accompaniment to a meal and is best suited to chicken, gammon or fish – good enough to rival any fine white wine.
Roger Protz, Editor Good Beer guide, recently reviewed Tribute. “Tribute is a magnificent example of a bronze coloured English bitter, with a rich aroma of biscuity malt and tart citrus fruit from the Willemette hops. Juicy malt, hop resins and tangy fruit coat the tongue, while the finish is long and lingering, with a fine balance between malt, hops and fruit, finally becoming dry and bitter”.

Old Speckled Hen has a wonderful, warm flavour bursting with body. Malt loaf and toffee flavours combine with a bitterness on the back of the tongue to give a beautiful balanced sweetness without being cloying. Old Speckled Hen was named after an old MG (both were made in Oxford) and like the car this is an exceptional ale. Coming in at a healthy 5.2% its not for the faint hearted.

Flowers IPA - 3.6% abv

This is a nice well balanced session ale. More fruity than flowery. Just hints of caramel and toffee. Quite bitter and semi long aftertaste.

Guinness - 4.2% abv

Ruby and Cream. Black and White. Two distinct parts, one perfect pint. A unique mix of nitrogen and carbon dioxide helps create Guinness Draught’s liquid swirl that tumbles, surges and gradually separates into a black body and smooth creamy head.

Tetley - 3.8% abv

Full flavoured ale with a classic hop aroma and crisp bitterness on the palate. Tetley's Smoothflow delivers a smooth and creamy pint created from the combination of traditional and modern brewing techniques.
